The arrival of international investment marks another milestone in the tourism development of Punta del Este, following JHSF Participações' announcement of its acquisition of the Enjoy Punta del Este resort. This transaction reaffirms Uruguay's position as a strategic destination for high-end tourism projects in the region.

The initiative was presented at the Presidential Palace with the participation of President Yamandú Orsi and the Acting Minister of Tourism, Ana Claudia Caram, along with representatives of the investing company. The meeting highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships to promote projects that boost national tourism development.

The iconic complex, located across from Playa Mansa, will continue operating while a significant expansion is planned. The plan envisions a mixed-use development that will integrate luxury hotels, restaurants, a shopping center with international brands, a casino, and residences, consolidating an offering aligned with global standards in the premium segment.

This transaction is part of JHSF's international expansion strategy. The group, which has a presence in cities such as New York, Miami, London, and Milan, already has a track record in Uruguay through the development of Fasano Las Piedras. The investment strengthens the country's position in the global high-end tourism market and contributes to diversifying its offerings with distinctive experiences geared toward a discerning clientele.

From a sectoral perspective, this type of initiative represents an opportunity to consolidate Uruguay as a competitive year-round destination, boosting the arrival of international visitors, job creation, and the dynamism of local economies.

Likewise, the development of international-scale tourism assets contributes to strengthening the country's image, associated with attributes such as quality, sustainability and excellence in services, pillars of the national tourism strategy.

The completion of the transaction, subject to the corresponding approvals, marks a new step forward in attracting investment and strengthening Uruguay's tourism ecosystem.
