Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens on May 26, 2026 at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World Resort announced that, starting May 26, 2026, the classic Rock 'n' Roller Coaster will feature a new version starring The Muppets at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The revamped attraction offers a completely reimagined experience that combines speed, music, and immersive storytelling. Before boarding, visitors will be greeted by the song “Can You Picture That?” as the band The Electric Mayhem rehearses for their highly anticipated concert, foreshadowing the ride’s dynamic and humorous tone.

Music takes center stage in this new offering, with a selection of songs that varies on each trip. Each journey includes one of five tracks performed by The Electric Mayhem with guest artists, including “Song 2,” “Born To Be Wild,” “Love Rollercoaster,” “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop),” and “Walking on Sunshine,” featuring collaborations with artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Def Leppard, and Kelly Clarkson.

Along the queue, the experience is enriched with cameos from characters and celebrities such as Awkwafina, Danny Trejo, Neil Patrick Harris and John Stamos, among others, which provide an additional entertainment component.

The transformation begins outside the attraction, where a new psychedelic aesthetic redefines the Courtyard. In the narrative, mogul JP Grosse acquires G-Force Records, while Scooter takes over management of the studio, leading to a story that unfolds from the queue to the ride.

Inside the studio, visitors will find The Electric Mayhem recording new songs, accompanied by a team of sound engineers —represented by penguins— in a scene brought to life by state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics technology.

The tour culminates with a high-speed trip through Hollywood, where visitors, aboard a high-speed limousine developed by Muppet Labs, travel through iconic settings with a creative twist from the Muppets universe, all accompanied by a rock soundtrack that enhances the experience.

With this renovation, Walt Disney World Resort reinforces its commitment to innovation in its attractions, integrating technology, storytelling and entertainment to offer increasingly immersive and memorable experiences.
