What are Los Cabos' objectives for WTM Latin America?
We have been working in the Brazilian market for almost nine years, but with the new route via Panama that connects Brazil with Los Cabos through eight cities, we decided to reinforce our strategy.

The goal is to leverage this connectivity, strengthen partnerships with trade partners, and expand opportunities. Furthermore, the recent streamlining of visas for Brazilians traveling to Mexico greatly simplifies the process and is a key message we are communicating.

What is the current state of the destination and what new developments would you highlight?
Our main focus is to position ourselves as a new option within Mexico for Brazilian travelers, since there is still some lack of awareness about Los Cabos.

We are located in the southern part of the Baja California Sur peninsula, in a unique environment where three ecosystems converge: desert, sea, and mountains. This combination, along with the culture and gastronomy, allows us to offer a unique experience within the country.

What are your main source markets today?
Currently, our main markets are the United States, Canada, and the domestic market. However, we are working hard on diversification.

In recent years, we opened the route to Frankfurt, which allowed us to grow in Europe, and more recently, the connection to Panama opens up opportunities throughout Latin America. Within the region, Colombia is currently our strongest market, followed by Argentina, and we are focused on growing in Brazil.

What is the connectivity like from Latin America?
From Panama, the flight to Los Cabos takes approximately five hours, which positions us as an accessible destination within the region.

The new connectivity is key to further developing markets in Central and South America, and especially to boosting Brazil.

What kind of experiences does Los Cabos offer visitors?
Los Cabos is much more than a beach destination. While that is one of its attractions, the area encourages visitors to leave the hotel and explore.

Activities in nature can include hiking in the Sierra de la Laguna, desert tours in off-road vehicles, visits to local towns such as Todos Santos or Santiago, and experiences that combine sea and mountain.

Furthermore, the destination has short distances, making it easy to visit different points in a short time and enriching the experience for both families and incentive groups.

What stands out about the natural and marine life offerings?
One of the biggest differentiators is biodiversity. Los Cabos is home to nearly 40% of the world's marine mammals.

Between December and April, it's possible to spot whales—such as humpback and gray whales—even from the shore. In summer, on the other hand, manta rays can be seen in large groups, creating unique experiences for visitors.

What role does gastronomy play in the destination's offering?
Gastronomy is a fundamental pillar. In fact, 17% of visitors are primarily motivated by this experience.

There is a wide variety of options outside the hotels, offering fresh, seasonal products. Local production comes from organic farms located in desert oases, and fishing is destined for local consumption, guaranteeing quality and freshness.

How are the destination's numbers looking and what are the challenges?
In recent years we have maintained a flow of 3.7 million visitors annually, and we hope to sustain that level.

One of the main challenges is market diversification. Historically, 80% of our visitors came from the United States, but today that percentage is dropping to 70% thanks to the growth of other markets, especially in Europe and Latin America.

What can you tell us about the safety of the destination?
Los Cabos is a safe destination. Its geographic location, at the southern tip of the peninsula, and its primarily air access contribute to this.

Furthermore, there is strong collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure safety, allowing visitors to move around with peace of mind and explore the destination, even by renting a vehicle.
