Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) announced the next edition of Connect Barbados 2026, which will take place from June 23 to 26 at the Hilton Barbados Resort.
The conference, considered the destination's main B2B event, will bring together international tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, cruise lines and specialized media along with local suppliers, with the aim of generating business opportunities and strengthening Barbados' presence in the global market.
Under the motto “Rooted in culture, driven by collaboration”, the 2026 edition will be aligned with the 60th anniversary of the country's independence and will seek to highlight the value of partnerships in tourism development.
The program will include pre-arranged business meetings, destination experiences, panels on industry trends, and networking opportunities. In addition, a new edition of the Connect Barbados Media and Trade Awards will be held, recognizing the performance of strategic partners and their international promotion of the destination.
“Connect Barbados is an annual benchmark for our industry and our global partnerships,” said Andrea Franklin, CEO of BTMI. “The conference allows us to forge concrete links between international partners and local stakeholders, driving sustained growth and strengthening the destination’s positioning.”
With this new edition, Barbados seeks to consolidate its tourism development strategy based on collaboration, market diversification and the generation of business opportunities.
