Vila Galé reinforced its presence at WTM Latin America with a stand and wine party for the trade

Pedro Ribeiro, Marketing and Sales Director of Vila Galé, highlighted the company's strategy during the event, which included both a strong presence with its own stand and the organization of a wine party for operators and agencies on Tuesday night in São Paulo.

What can you tell us about the event you organized?
It's an event by Vila Galé, a Portuguese hotel chain with a very strong presence in Brazil, where we already have thirteen hotels. In Portugal, we also have three wine-related properties with our own production: one in the Douro, another in the Alentejo, and another in the Vinho Verde region.

What we did was bring our wines to São Paulo to present them and, at the same time, promote wine tourism in Portugal. It was also an opportunity to invite our partners—tour operators and agencies—to a special closing meeting on the first day of the fair.

How was Vila Galé's participation at the fair?
We had a very large stand and it attracted a lot of visitors. We focused on a strong presence both within the fair and at the external event.

WTM is a very important trade fair for us because it allows us to meet with many partners, both from Brazil and from other Latin American markets.

How important is the region to the company?
Brazil and the other Latin American markets are very important for our 34 hotels in Portugal. It's a strategic region for our growth.

What are your expectations for the coming months?
Brazil had a somewhat challenging first quarter, but we believe it will recover in the coming months. As for Portugal, performance is in line with expectations: we have been growing in recent years and project that this will be another positive year.
