Costa Mujeres continues to strengthen its position within the Mexican Caribbean after registering an outstanding Easter 2026 season, in which a sustained growth in traveler preference was evident.

According to the Costa Mujeres Hotel Association, the destination increased its lodging capacity with the addition of three new establishments, totaling approximately 1,700 rooms. With this expansion, the area now boasts a total of 24 hotels and around 11,500 rooms, reflecting its continued growth in tourism development.

The growth is mainly driven by demand from key markets such as the United States and Mexico, which continue to lead in visitor arrivals during the peak seasons of the year.

“The arrival of prominent brands strengthens the destination’s commitment to luxury tourism, while maintaining a sustainable development approach, one of the priority areas for the orderly growth of the region,” said Marissa Setién, Executive Director of the Costa Mujeres Hotel Association.

The executive also highlighted that the destination boasts a diverse offering, encompassing both family-friendly hotels and adults-only options, along with top-tier infrastructure for conventions, exhibitions, weddings, and incentive trips. This combination allows them to cater to a wide range of travelers while maintaining high standards of quality.

In line with this strategy, the destination continues to add new properties that reinforce its position within the premium segment. Among the most recent developments are Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres, Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres, and Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres, which expand the range of accommodations and experiences available.

The Costa Mujeres Hotel Association remains committed to a balanced growth model, focused on integrating tourism development with the preservation of the eco-social environment. In this context, the confidence of international investors and the constant renewal of offerings solidify the destination's position as one of the Caribbean's leading destinations for high-end hospitality.
