The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has announced the opening of submissions for the Caribbean Media Awards 2026, an initiative that recognizes excellence in journalism and content creation focused on the Caribbean.

The awards will be presented during Caribbean Week in New York, taking place from June 1–5 in New York, bringing together media professionals, broadcasters, and digital creators from both the United States and the Caribbean.

“The stories coming out of the Caribbean continue to shape how the world perceives and experiences our region. These awards recognize those who bring these stories to life with depth and authenticity,” said Dona Regis-Prosper, Secretary-General and CEO of the organization.

The call is open to media professionals, CTO member destinations, and their public relations agencies, aiming to highlight coverage that informs, inspires, and elevates the Caribbean globally.

Categories include: Best Consumer Article, Best News Reporting, Best Trade Article, Best Personal Immersive Story, Best Podcast/Radio, Best Video Production, Best Social Media Campaign, Diaspora Journalist of the Year, and Emerging Journalist of the Year.

Entries must have been published or broadcast during the 2025 calendar year and demonstrate a clear connection to the Caribbean. Judging will consider editorial quality, storytelling clarity, creativity, and overall impact.

The submission deadline is May 8, 2026. Winners will be announced during the awards luncheon, one of the highlights of the event in New York.
