Passenger experience has become the central focus of LATAM Airlines Group's strategy, and the results have been recognized internationally. By 2026, the group had already accumulated 13 awards in three of the most prestigious recognitions in the aviation industry, all focused on travel quality: PAX International Readership Awards, TravelPlus Awards, and Onboard Hospitality Awards.

“It is an honor to receive global recognition from three leading organizations in their respective fields: PAX International Readership Awards, Onboard Hospitality Awards, and TravelPlus Awards — granted both by expert evaluation and by the choice of our customers. From cabin design and the quality of our catering to the experience in our Lima Lounge, each award reaffirms our commitment to taking care of every step of the journey and to continuing to elevate the experience,” stated Paulo Miranda, VP of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group.

PAX International Readership Awards 2026: six awards in South America

The PAX International Readership Awards highlight innovation and quality in the travel experience based on votes from readers of PAX International magazine and industry professionals. In the 2026 edition, which evaluated improvements implemented between March 2025 and February 2026, LATAM received six awards in the South America category—two more than in 2025.

Outstanding Catering Service – South America
Best Overall Passenger Experience – South America
Best Cabin Interior Design – South America
Best In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and Connectivity – South America
Best Airport Lounge (Lima) – South America
Best Business Class Amenity Kit – South America
TravelPlus Awards 2026 and Onboard Hospitality Awards 2026: seven recognitions in a single day

LATAM also won seven awards in two other of the industry's most demanding international recognition programs. At the TravelPlus Awards, where products are physically evaluated by frequent flyer panels based on five criteria—Trend, Pleasure, Luxury, Usability, and Sustainability—LATAM received the system's highest recognition, the TravelPlus Five-Star Rating for Passenger Amenities. This award is not given for a single category but requires consistent and excellent performance across the entire amenity offering. In addition, it received the Business Class: The Americas award for the best Business Class amenity kit in the region.

At the Onboard Hospitality Awards, LATAM won four categories (the highest distinction in the system) for the first time in the group's history:

Best Gastronomic Collaboration — Flavors that Transport & Brazilian Flavor
Best Amenity Kit Business Class — LATAM x Costa Brazil
Best Amenity Kit Premium Economy — LATAM x Costa Brazil
Best Passenger Service Equipment — Premium Business Serviceware

The progress is remarkable: in 2022, LATAM only had Highly Commended mentions in these awards. Furthermore, it received a bronze recognition as Cabin Concept of the Year for its LATAM Premium Business cabin.

South American Identity as a Philosophy

Behind all this recognition lies a strategic commitment centered on South American identity as the core of the passenger experience.

This commitment is expressed in every dimension of the journey. The cabins incorporate materials and color palettes inspired by the landscapes and biodiversity of the region. The Altitude Collection, the amenity kit behind several of these awards, translates six iconic altitudes of the continent into design objects. Onboard gastronomy prioritizes local ingredients and techniques that combine tradition and avant-garde. LATAM Play has strengthened its entertainment offering with alliances with Disney+, Max, and Paramount+, in addition to original content that highlights regional culture and live television. On the ground, the LATAM Lounge Lima, inaugurated in August 2025, completes the experience with architecture inspired by local landscapes and a gastronomic proposal led by chef James Berckemeyer.
