With the goal of responding to the growing demand from passengers seeking more travel alternatives, better regional connectivity, and more flexible mobility options, Volaris presented its latest flight offering at the Tianguis Turístico Acapulco 2026: 35 new routes scheduled to begin operating this June.
These new routes strengthen connectivity in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and facilitate access to cities with high tourism, cultural, and business potential in Mexico and the United States.
With these new routes, Volaris will strengthen its presence at its hubs in Guadalajara and Tijuana and offer greater connectivity to and from key cities such as Puebla, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and San Luis Potosí, significantly expanding travel options for the Central and Bajío regions and fostering a network of short, efficient routes that allow passengers to choose different mobility options to suit their needs.
Eleven of the new routes expand connectivity with cities in the United States, including Houston, Los Angeles, New York (Newark), Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, Chicago, Detroit, and Salt Lake City.
"The collaboration with airlines like Volaris, a strategic partner in strengthening air connectivity, has been key to better connecting Mexico with its many tourist destinations and with our main source market, the United States. Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism is working together to promote more accessible connectivity that strengthens the tourism sector and generates shared prosperity that benefits everyone in the tourism value chain. We recognize Volaris as an indispensable partner in advancing toward the goal of the Mexico Plan to position us as the fifth most visited country in the world," said Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism for the Government of Mexico.
“At Volaris, we remain firmly committed to providing low-cost, high-value service, bringing the flying experience to an increasingly broad and diverse audience. This expansion allows us to respond to both tourism demand and the need for more agile connectivity between regions, refining our itineraries and strengthening our network so that more and more passengers can enjoy an accessible, efficient, and rewarding experience,” stated Holger Blankenstein, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Operations at Volaris.
Tickets for the 35 new routes are now on sale through Volaris.com and the airline’s official app, with frequencies and schedules designed to serve customers seeking affordable, convenient options for both short and long-haul trips, for leisure and business purposes.
Introductory fares for these new routes will be available from $149 MXN on domestic flights and from $84 USD on international flights, offering customers affordable options to plan their next trips with greater advance notice and flexibility, both within Mexico and to the United States.
In an environment of significant challenges for the industry worldwide, Volaris continues its efforts to strengthen connectivity, boost tourism, and democratize air travel.
