With the aim of consolidating commercial alliances, strengthening air connectivity, promoting destinations and strengthening tourism investment, the State Government, through the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism, is participating in the 50th edition of the Tianguis Turístico in Acapulco, Guerrero, considered the main business meeting of the sector in the country.

This forum, which takes place from April 27 to 30, brings together buyers, exhibitors and representatives of the national and international industry, opening up opportunities to boost the offering of Mexican destinations in global markets.

This year, Jalisco has a stand with 38 participating companies and organizations, featuring an agenda of over 1,500 working meetings with key players, with the aim of finalizing agreements that will encourage visitors and strengthen the sector's production chain.

As a prelude to this meeting, Ventana a México was held, the first open and free showcase of the Tianguis Turístico, which brought the experience closer to the local population and visitors.

In this space, Jalisco stood out for its gastronomic and artisanal proposal with cultural ambassadors from Sayula and Mazamitla, at a key moment for Jalisco in its culinary positioning after joining the Michelin Guide.

The state presented a display of traditional crafts, reflecting the cultural richness of its regions through pieces made with ancestral techniques, local materials, and designs that are part of its identity, which broadened the public's experience beyond gastronomy.

The delegation, headed by Michelle Fridman Hirsch, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, highlighted the importance of this participation for the positioning of the state.

“The Tianguis Turístico represents a key platform to strengthen Jalisco’s presence in strategic markets and generate high-value alliances,” the Secretary noted.

The business meeting includes the four state tourism trusts —Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara, Costalegre, the interior and Puerto Vallarta—, responsible for coordinating the promotion and marketing of their destinations in different markets.

The state's offerings include the diversity of its 12 Magical Towns, along with beach destinations such as Puerto Vallarta and Costalegre, as well as its capital, Guadalajara, which boasts hotel infrastructure, air connectivity, convention centers, and a wide range of cultural events.

The state's proposal adds cultural and gastronomic experiences with tequila and raicilla tastings, in collaboration with producers and taverns such as Mundo Cuervo, Casa Sauza, Tequileño, Cofradía, 3 Gallos, Tabernas de San Gregorio and Hacienda Divisadero, who offer tours, tastings and activities related to the agave heritage.

In terms of diversification, Jalisco presents the Tequila Route of Los Altos, launched in September 2025, made up of eight municipalities.

This offering includes 75 products and experiences, with 1,691 hotel rooms and 533 food and beverage establishments, which strengthens the region's tourism vocation.

The Tequila Valley Route in Jalisco comprises eight municipalities and includes 139 experiences, 1,342 hotel rooms, and 441 restaurants.

The agave landscape has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2006, which reinforces its cultural and tourist value.

The Raicilla Route is also being promoted, bringing together more than 50 taverns open to the public. This alternative combines gastronomy, nature, lodging, and traditions, thus broadening the offerings for different types of visitors.

Raicilla is the second distilled spirit from Jalisco to receive a Denomination of Origin (DO), since June 2019, and is produced in 16 municipalities in Jalisco and one in Nayarit. Currently, its exports are primarily destined for the United States, with a presence also in markets such as Italy and Australia.

The agenda includes the signing of letters of intent with more than eight business partners, including airlines and wholesale agencies, with the aim of expanding connectivity and strengthening promotion in priority markets.

The calendar includes folk ballet performances, showcasing identity and tradition to national and international attendees, which complements the destination's experience in this showcase.

The 49th edition of Tianguis Turístico brought together 1,700 buyers, 3,950 exhibitors from more than 45 countries and exceeded 71,000 business appointments, confirming its reach and impact on the industry.

Jalisco is featured in various categories of the Best of Mexico Awards, organized by México Desconocido and Tripadvisor, which supports its positioning as one of the most relevant and competitive destinations in the country.
