During the Aruba event held in Buenos Aires, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts took part with the aim of reinforcing its positioning in the destination and promoting its flagship hotel on the island. Carlos Lorgueilleux, Business Development Manager, shared insights into the offering, guest profile, and commercial strategy in the region.

What does it mean for Iberostar to participate in this event in Buenos Aires?
It is a great opportunity to support the destination and present our offering in Aruba. We are especially promoting our hotel JOIA Aruba by Iberostar, a five-star property located on Eagle Beach, one of the best beaches on the island, with 240 suites and an offering designed for different types of travelers.

What audience is this property targeting today?
We are targeting a broad audience, from families to couples. Traditionally, we have worked extensively with the U.S. and Canadian markets, but today Argentine travelers are increasingly visiting and enjoying our offering in Aruba.

What is the hotel experience like?
It is a high-end product focused on luxury and comfort. We offer different plans —from European plan to all inclusive— to adapt to each guest’s preferences. The experience is designed for relaxation, with quality services, great gastronomy, and spaces created to enjoy the tranquility of the destination.

What role does air connectivity play in current demand?
Connectivity is key. The direct flight from Argentina greatly facilitates access and allows more passengers to choose Aruba as a destination, which positively impacts hotel occupancy.

How is Iberostar’s promotional agenda evolving in Argentina?
We have a very active agenda, with different initiatives to continue positioning the brand and our properties. Aruba is an important focus, but we are also promoting other destinations where we have a presence.

Beyond Aruba, which other properties would you highlight in the region?
We have a strong presence across the Caribbean and Latin America, with hotels in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Brazil, as well as unique offerings such as our river cruise hotel in the Amazon. The goal is to provide diverse experiences while maintaining Iberostar’s quality standards.
