The chain Be Live, plans the construction of two properties in La Romana and the expansion of the facilities of the complex located in Punta Cana
The Globalia Group, through its hotel division made up of the Be Live chain, plans the construction of two new hotels in the La Romana - Bayahibe tourist destination in the south - east of the Dominican Republic and the expansion of the facilities of the complex located in Punta Cana, according to the information obtained by Infotur Dominicano.
In that sense, Globalia plans to expand its Punta Cana hotel complex with 179 rooms for adults only, increasing in this way to 1,120 rooms, while in Bayahibe it has acquired land next to its hotel Canoa where they plan the construction of a new hotel with category of five stars and 600 rooms, which will be developed in two phases. The first 250 or 300 rooms will open in December 2018.
To these Globalia plans, a personal project of the group president, Juan José (Pepe) Hidalgo, is added in the Cumayasa area, where he plans the construction of a hotel complex with 18 brands totaling some 1,000 rooms, of which two will be Be Live and the rest of the other companies, such as Barceló or Meliá, to which they will offer the developable land and the operating license for the latter project, it is estimated that the first phase could be operational within two years.
