Roadshow of Argentina in Germany

INPROTUR trained more than 200 tour operators in the European country. In 2017, about 125 thousand German tourists arrived in the country. Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia and Iguazú were the most chosen destinations

 

In order to generate a greater diffusion of the tourist offer of the Argentine Republic in Europe, the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourist Promotion (INPROTUR), developed an important Roadshow in Germany, from 16 to 19 of April of the current.

During four intense days, the representation of INPROTUR in Germany, together with the operator Gebeco - member of the Touristik Union International (TUI) group, one of the most important in the world at a tourist level - presented the Argentine destinations and trained more than 200 agents Germans in the cities of Hannover, Leipzig, Passau and Würzburg.

After the training, Jörn Höllinger, from Gebeco, presented the attendees with their different formats to travel to Argentina (group trips, individual trips, among others). Along with sales material, the participants could see different Argentine corners through the 360 ​​Experience. In turn, they tasted typical gastronomic products of our country and, even, they could taste the popular Fernet.

The German market is one of the most important in the world. For this reason, the participation of Argentina in the ITB fair or this type of actions are fundamental to bring our offer closer.

In 2017, about 125 thousand German tourists arrived in our country. According to the latest statistics, they had an average expenditure of USD 1,607 (USD 93 per day) and a stay of more than 17 nights. Almost 60 percent decided to come to Argentina on the recommendation of family or friends. The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, San Carlos de Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia and the Iguazú Falls were the most chosen destinations.
