Dominican Republic totals connection with 344 international air routes

A total of 344 air connections with international destinations registers the Dominican Republic in the last update made by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) according to information obtained by Infotur Dominicano

The information highlights that the Canadian airline Sunwing remains the airline with the most routes assigned, totaling 33, which have not changed since the last update made by the JAC.

In this latest update of the list of Foreign Air Operators (Regular), once again highlights that the American Airlines airline of the 22 routes assigned, has stopped operating 9 of them. These are: San Juan, P.R. / Santo Domingo and vice versa; New York / Santo Domingo / New York; Newark / Santo Domingo / Newark; Boston / Santo Domingo / Boston; Fort Lauderdale / Santo Domingo / Fort Lauderdale; San Juan P.R./Puerto Plata / San Juan P.R .; New York / Puerto Plata / Miami; New York / La Romana / New York and New York / Santiago / New York.

Also noteworthy was the suspension of operations by INSEL AIR ARUBA, NV and INSEL AIR INTERNATIONAL, BV, which suspended their operations at the request of their legal representatives by communication dated March 2, 2017 and ARUBAANSE UCHTVAART MAATSCHAPPIJ, NV DBA ARUBA AIRLINES, temporary suspension of operations, requested by the airline and accepted by the JAC, by Resolution No. 154 (2016) of November 25, 2016.
