Aruba celebrates the month of wellness in June

Inspired by World Wellness Day and the 123rd anniversary of the Aruba Aloe vera industry on the island, the third version of the Aruba Aloe Wellness Month will be held with special activities

Aruba launched the "Aloe Wellness Month", a series of programs that will take place in June, inspired by the 123 anniversary of the Aloe Vera industry on the island and on World Welfare Day, the next June 9.

"Our Happy Island brings well-being in its DNA", said the director of the Aruba Tourism Authority for Latin America, Miriam Dabian, who added "The world dedicates one day a year to wellness, but we want to take the concept further , and for that reason during a month we put the accent in the relaxation and the well-being, to make of a trip an unforgettable visit. "

For four weeks tourists and locals can enjoy a healthy rest thanks to multiple programs ranging from healthy cooking classes in hotels, yoga, pilates, art, spinning and even dance therapy.

The yoggies, meanwhile, can find a varied offer that includes, in addition to the largest study in the Caribbean, practices such as Vinyasa, Flow, Ashtanga, or even the popular SUP yoga, a modality that is performed on paddle boards in Water. Aruba was one of the first islands in the Caribbean to introduce the activity and, today, is one of the most popular water sports enjoyed by locals and visitors. The calm and shallow coastal waters of the island are the ideal place to learn and enjoy SUP.

On the other hand, for those seeking meditation, you can find several options, among which the Prana Yoga & Meditation Center, which offers sessions on your garden deck or the Butterfly Farm.

A recommended activity to connect with nature is bird watching. The happy island has 236 registered species in its catalog. Travelers can easily access the Bubali Plas Bird Sanctuary, with a bird watching tower overlooking the marsh areas; the Arikok National Park; Spaans Lagoen; Tierra del Sol and the areas of Arashi / Lighthouse of California.

Those who visit the island during June will be able to access exclusive Wellness packages at several hotels such as Renaissance, Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, Divi, Manchebo The Ritz-Carlton and Aruba Marriott Resort.
