The airline and the technology firm migrated the LATAM Brasil reservation system to the SabreSonic passenger service system (PSS)
Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider in the travel business, partnered with LATAM, the largest airline group in South America, to unify two reservation systems into one through its combined carriers. LATAM and Sabre migrated to LATAM Brasil from their legacy reservation system to the SabreSonic passenger service system (PSS) of LATAM. The well-executed transition now allows the airline to expand its differentiated but consistent passenger experience across its entire network.
"Having our PSS in a centralized platform, driven by SabreSonic, was a fundamental step for the growth of our business," said Jerome Cadier, CEO of LATAM Brazil. "Now we can offer travelers a more personalized and uniform experience while traveling in multiple LATAM family carriers." Saber is a long-term technology partner with in-depth knowledge of our company, which was instrumental in guiding us through this complex process. "
In addition to the PSS, LATAM uses a broad portfolio of Saber solutions to manage airline operations, increase revenues and sell accessories on all channels along the customer's journey. With recent migration, Saber's highly scalable technology will collectively manage more than 67 million passengers on board for LATAM each year. The two companies will continue to work closely to expand the airline group's global operations and develop their distribution, distribution and compliance capabilities.
"LATAM is an important client: the successful combination of all systems throughout LATAM was a priority for Sabre," said Dave Shirk, president of Sabre Airline Solutions. "This was a great company, and our collective teams worked tirelessly throughout the program to implement innovative technology, provide near perfect migration and lay the foundations to expand the global reach of LATAM and offer exceptional experiences to passengers."
