Barceló, one of the best valued hotel chains in the world according to Tripadvisor

The users of Tripadvisor, one of the most important travel opinion portals in the world, like many Barceló Hotel Group hotels. Thanks to its excellent comments, a total of 91 hotels of the hotel chain in 13 countries have been awarded the Certificate of Excellence with which Tripadvisor awards the best rated hotels for the opinions of its users. The Certificate of Excellence is the recognition that Tripadvisor awards each year to the best establishments in the world that constantly demonstrate a commitment to excellence in hospitality.
In 2018 the hotel group has managed to increase by 20% the number of hotels awarded with this recognition. Thus of 76 awarded establishments in 2017 it has gone to 91 in 2018, and from 12 to 13 countries: Germany (1), Aruba (1), Costa Rica (2), United Arab Emirates (1), El Salvador (1) , Spain (53), Greece (1), Guatemala (1), Mexico (16), Panama (1), Czech Republic (5), Dominican Republic (7) and Turkey (1).
To select the winners of this award, TripAdvisor uses its own algorithm that takes into account the quality, quantity and most recent dates of the opinions issued by travelers on TripAdvisor over a period of twelve months, as well as the performance and popularity index of the business on the site. To qualify for this distinction, businesses must maintain a general TripAdvisor score of at least four "bubbles" of five, have a minimum number of opinions and have been on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
