LATAM Airlines offers new destinations to Europe

As of this month tickets for flights to Lisbon, Portugal are on sale. The flight will be operated by LATAM Airlines Brasil from São Paulo as of September 2, 2018

 

LATAM Airlines Brasil announced that tickets for its new São Paulo-Lisbon flight are already on sale, and that it plans to fly to Munich in the first half of 2019, as part of the continued international expansion of LATAM Airlines Group.
Passengers from Mexico and other South American countries will be able to connect with these new flights through the LATAM hub in São Paulo / Guarulhos. From Mexico City, LATAM offers 3 daily flights to São Paulo.

"In the last two years, LATAM has not only launched 30 new international routes - an unprecedented number that includes new destinations in Europe, North America and Oceania - but also, we are strengthening existing routes with more frequencies and connection options for our passengers. "
As of September 2, 2018, LATAM Airlines Brasil will offer five flights per week between Lisbon and São Paulo / Guarulhos. The route will be operated by Boeing 767 aircraft, which offer 191 seats in the Economy cabin and 30 seats in Premium Business, with tickets available starting today through the website latam.com and other sales channels.
The flight JJ8178 from LATAM Airlines Brasil will fly from São Paulo / Guarulhos on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a travel time of 10 hours. The return flight, JJ8179, will take off from Lisbon (Humberto Delgado Airport) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a travel time of 10 hours, 45 minutes. The departure and arrival times of each flight will depend on the day of the week.
Located on the European Atlantic coast, Lisbon is the westernmost capital of Europe and the largest metropolis in Portugal. As one of the oldest cities in the world, dating from 1200 BC, it is famous for its historical and cultural wealth, which attracts tourists from all over the world.
New destination: Munich, Germany
LATAM Airlines Brasil plans to fly to Munich from São Paulo starting in the first semester of 2019, subject to regulatory approval. More details that will be communicated during the next months. The Bavarian capital will thus become the second LATAM destination in Germany after Frankfurt and the ninth European city to which the company operates.
Inauguration of new international flights
On June 3, the inaugural flight of LATAM Airlines Brasil landed in the city of Las Vegas, United States, being the first non-stop flight from South America to the "Entertainment Capital of the World". The LATAM Boeing 767 aircraft transported 191 passengers in Economy and 30 customers in Business Premium from São Paulo.
The São Paulo-Las Vegas flight will operate three times a week during the peak summer and winter seasons; from June to September 2018 and from December 2018 to March 2019.
On the other hand, on June 2, the first LATAM Airlines Brazil flight between São Paulo and Tucumán was also launched. The Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 174 passengers, will operate three flights per week, throughout the year.
International expansion of LATAM
With the new routes, LATAM Airlines Group and its subsidiaries will offer flights to 143 destinations in 26 countries. Only in 2017, LATAM inaugurated 13 new international routes, including the longest flight in its history, Santiago-Melbourne. During this year, LATAM will launch another 17 international flights, having already started flying to destinations such as Lima-San José (Costa Rica) and São Paulo-Rome. In the next months the inaugural flights will be made to Boston, the United States (July) and Tel Aviv, Israel (December).
