LATAM is recognized as the airline in South America with the best global passenger experience

LATAM Airlines Group has been chosen as the South American airline with the Best Overall Passenger Experience Global Airline for the 2018 APEX Passenger Choice Awards.

APEX ratings on airlines classify the on-board experience based on comments from thousands of passengers evaluated independently with criteria that include general experience, seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi.

"For LATAM the experience on board is key for the passengers and for this reason we listen continuously to the comments of our passengers and we continue investing in new digital tools, entertainment on board and improvements in both the service and the food. Last year we were awarded as one of the leading airlines in the ranking and this year it is an honor to be recognized as well for having the Best Global Passenger Experience. The award, which was delivered on Tuesday, June 19 during the APEX TECH awards ceremony in Los Angeles, adds to the recognition received by LATAM last year as "Five Star Global Airline" in the most important global airline ranking. The company is one of the two Latin American airlines and one of three on the continent to be part of this prestigious category that compares more than one million flights from a total of 428 airlines around the world.

The "Airline Passenger Experience" (APEX for its acronym in English) is a non-profit organization that has worked over the last four decades to evaluate and help improve all aspects of the air experience from the design, construction and installation of seating systems, entertainment and communications, and airport lounges or food on board.
