First JW Marriott Hotel with its own beers
JW Marriott Guanacaste developed its own craft beers: Mansita and Sabanero, as part of its vision to create authentic experiences for the guest
Thinking of the menu of its five restaurants, one specializing in meat, another in Japanese food, a grill, seafood, food Street, and the exclusive atmosphere of comfort, sun and beach as well as the visitation that 70% of tourists have of North American origin, this makes them a good niche since craft beer is part of their traditional taste. This is how the idea of developing craft beer was born to the Hotel's gastronomic offer.
Exclusively, the Food and Beverage Director Miguel Hernández, together with Gastón Rodríguez, owner of the company responsible for the preparation of the Palmareña Brewing Company beers, thoroughly analyzed the proposal and decided to start by introducing Mansita (in reference to the beach that surround) and Sabanero (for being in the pampas of Guanacaste).
Mansita is a Hand-Crafted Pilsner type beer (light golden blonde) made with 100% German malted barley, Pilsner type and Saaz hops, traditional from the Czech Republic, appreciated for its delicate floral flavor and aroma, long ripening, light refreshing but full of flavor. You can say it's the softest.
While, Sabanero is a Blonde-Golden beer, with a slight initial touch of malts, but with an intense explosion of fruity-tropical notes, persistent foam, a pronounced and deep bitter aftertaste, as impetuous as the real Guananero from Sabanero. It contains three different types of hops in four different stages of the process, resulting in citrus flavors, and other tropical fruits such as passion fruit, peach and mango.
Beers are available only at the hotel's 5 restaurants and in the room service menu. With this new initiative, the hotel stands out as the first of the Marriott brand to take the step of creating its own drinks, and by offering 100% handmade products that meet the expectations of the most demanding consumers.
