Head of SECTUR presents "viajemos todos por México" in Dallas

The Secretary of Tourism, Enrique de la Madrid, led the launch of the movement in the city of Dallas, before leaders of migrant communities, entrepreneurs and tour operators

Mexico and the United States share common challenges, so we must continue deepening our relations, we believe that it helps both nations, and this relationship "not only Mexico wins, the United States also wins, because we are North America, we must see ourselves as the same region , because the world competes in blocks ", assured the Secretary of Tourism, Enrique de la Madrid.

During a meeting in the city of Dallas with community leaders from the states of Guanajuato, Mexico City, Zacatecas, Yucatan, Guerrero, Durango, Nuevo Leon, Michoacán and Morelos, residing in Texas, the head of the Sectur said that the relationship Mexico-United States goes through the commercial, touristic and cultural issues that we must take advantage of to promote development in both countries.

Before the Hispanic community, De la Madrid Cordero launched the national movement for tourism "Let's all travel through Mexico," and said: "For you, you are very important, I would love you, your children, your grandchildren and your friends , know more about Mexico, because the more we know each other, the better the relationship will be ".

He added that "I am convinced that those who visit Mexico know their culture, their food, their people, their warmth, and the quality of the Mexican, so whoever visits us gets a different version of the one he had."

He recalled that the respective launches of We all traveled through Mexico were already made from destinations such as Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, so only Dallas and Houston were missing. He indicated that this program is aimed at Hispanic communities.

In this regard, he stressed that in Mexico there are destinations where there are practically no low seasons, such as Cancun and Los Cabos, in which all year round they are visited by Americans, Canadians and the Mexicans themselves, instead there are other places where you can see the decrease in the low seasons, and that, he said, is what we want to avoid with "Viajemos Todos por México".

He commented that the Hispanic population in Dallas is 42 percent, and it will be very close on the day when the Hispanic community is the majority demographically in the United States. The migratory phenomenon that is being experienced in other countries such as France, Germany and Spain is unstoppable, said Secretary De la Madrid.

He explained that "migration issues are unstoppable because as long as there are countries with a very high level of development and others with lower levels and others that are very low there will always be that temptation and desire to go to places where they have more possibilities". De la Madrid said that the United States is a country of migrants and that is its strength.

He stressed that the nationality that travels most to our country are Americans, and indicated that last year we received 39.3 million international tourists and 100 million visitors (tourist is one who stays more than one night and visitor can be the one who goes and it comes to the border) and we receive 21 billion dollars, which confirms the excellent moment that tourism is experiencing in Mexico.

What we are doing here is an invitation to travel through Mexico, and it is an invitation that is not limited to the traditional places of origin from where our countrymen living in the United States are, but that they know Mexico, because our country is enormous and is a world in itself and of a great diversity, because nothing resembles the north to the southeast of the country.
