The train was born at the initiative of the authorities of the General Belgrano Railroad, in November 1971, with the departure of an experimental train with officials and journalists. But the first official tourist trip was on July 16, 1972.
The president of Tren a las Nubes, Carmelo Russo, stressed that "we are very happy to celebrate our anniversary with the passengers in a very special outing for us".
"The train has traveled thousands of kilometers and today we continue working to offer the best to passengers and to continue positioning itself as one of the most important tourist attractions," said Russo.
