Aruba invites women to take the initiative

The role of women in society evolved exponentially over the years and managed to demonstrate that, in the different social, economic, family and work spheres, there should not be stereotypes linked to a specific role of women, nor a territory only male However, there is still a scenario in which gender clichés sometimes impose themselves: in love.
One of the most romantic moments, in which some patterns of behavior are maintained, is the proposal of marriage. Therefore, the new purpose of Happy Island is for women to advance with the breaking of stereotypes.
According to the director of the Aruba Tourism Authority for Latin America, Miriam Dabian, in Aruba "we always believe that expressing love should not have gender or rules. Because of this, we invite women to be inspired by the best beaches in the Caribbean, in the perfect climate and in the colorful sunsets of the island, so that they surprise their partner and they are the ones who say: Yes, I want to".
To materialize this initiative, Aruba created www.arubahesaidyes.com, an activity that invites women from Latin America, between 25 and 45 years, to propose to their boyfriends.
From 9 to 29 August, interested parties may register and apply to travel to the island, in the company of their partner. Once in Aruba, an expert Proposal Planner will help recreate the ideal marriage proposal.
"We want to invite women to break with the traditional schemes of marriage request, that this time it is they who propose to celebrate these unforgettable moments in the happiest island in the world. Additionally, we invite all people who want to surprise their partners to take advantage of the travel discounts we will have during August and September", said Dabian.​​
During August and September, romance will be the protagonist of the island. Also, Aruba prepared discounts on different activities such as a visit to the Aloe Vera museum, special dinners with the best sunset on the island and tasting of Arubian snacks.
