From April 5, 2019 the airline will connect São Paulo and Johannesburg daily
LATAM Airlines Group will operate two additional frequencies a week on the São Paulo-Johannesburg route, which will allow a daily flight between both cities. Currently the route is operated five times a week from the São Paulo / Guarulhos airport. This increase in frequencies is scheduled for April 5, 2019, although it is possible that it will be anticipated, which will be announced opportunely by the company.
LATAM is the only Latin American company to connect the region with Africa and this new announcement reinforces the relevance of the operation, this increase being the reflection of the company's strategic plan to continue connecting Latin America with the world.

Newest frequencies of the São Paulo-Johannesburg route
The São Paulo-Johannesburg route will have new operations on Fridays and Sundays, taking off at 5:55 PM, on a flight that will last 10 hours and 20 minutes. In the opposite direction, new frequencies will be added from the airport O.R. Tambo on Mondays and Saturdays, taking off at 11.35 local time, on a flight of 11 hours and 25 minutes. These new frequencies will also be operated with Boeing 767 aircraft, which accommodate 30 passengers in Premium Business and 190 passengers in Economy.
LATAM Airlines continues to strengthen its network of international destinations
Only in 2017, LATAM inaugurated 13 new international routes, including the longest flight in its history, Santiago-Melbourne. During this year, LATAM will launch another 17 international flights, having already started flying to destinations such as San José (Costa Rica), Rome and Boston. The next new destinations already confirmed for 2018 are Lisbon (September) and Tel Aviv (December). Departing from Santiago, in August the direct flight to Cusco will be inaugurated.
With the launch of the new routes, LATAM will offer flights to 143 destinations in 26 countries, being the group of airlines in Latin America with the most connections to other parts of the world.
