On this occasion, he worked together with the authorities of Carrillo, in the Costa Rican province of Guanacaste, to protect the beach of Matapalo by building a mesh that prevents the passage of vehicles and quads, which posed a risk to bathers and visitors.

One of the works carried out has been the construction of a bridge that at the same time acts as a sewer system, necessary to facilitate the arrival of vehicles to the area of transit at any time of the year, including the rainy season. In addition, to avoid entry to the defined public area, RIU has donated banks and large pots that act as a barrier.

The mayor of Carrillo, Carlos Cantillo, said that "in addition to beautifying access to the beach, these works ensure greater safety to the people who visit" by avoiding, he says, the "entry of vehicles that could cause an accident."

Although the passage of other vehicles has been prohibited, the work does guarantee public and controlled access for those who belong to the emergency services or the correct development of operations that require the entry of jet skis or boats into the sea.
