Accor Hotels has officially opened the Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta

The luxury brand of the French hotel chain has a presence again in the Argentine capital. The property offers 175 rooms spread over 18 floors

With the presence of important authorities of Accor Hotels, the Government of Buenos Aires City and the Argentine Association of Hotels, the Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta was officially opened yesterday, a property that marks the return of the luxury brand of the French group to the Argentine capital after the closure last year of the Sofitel Arroyo.

"This inauguration is very important for the Sofitel brand. This project has been strategically designed to provide unique experiences for guests and local residents who wish to enjoy excellent services in the restaurant, cafe and bar, as well as in their accommodation, "said Philippe Trapp, Executive Vice President of Luxe Brands and Upscale of AccorHotels in South America.

The Sofitel brand fuses French art with local culture, and according to Accor Invest, this hotel in Recoleta "will be the flagship for the region". After reiterating the intent of duplicating the portfolio in South America, and thus surpassing the 100 properties, they added that "this investment is an example of our confidence and commitment to the city of Buenos Aires."

"We worked for two years on the project of this hotel, strategically designed to provide unique experiences for international guests and local residents," said Trapp.

On the economic situation that Argentina is going through, the executive mentioned: "this is a long-term commitment because we see the historical, cultural and geographical potential of Argentina".
