Successful opening of WTM London 2018

Yesterday began a new edition of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, which takes place again at the ExCeL convention center in the capital of the United Kingdom until tomorrow.
The fair is one of the main international tourism events in Europe, it expects to surpass the record figure of 87,794 visitors registered last year in which a total of 3,000 million in business volume was generated.
The show has gathered this year around 5,000 exhibitors from 182 markets and 10,500 professionals from around the world who come to publicize the latest developments in the sector.
Almost 170 exhibitors will make their debut at the fair this year, including more than 60 new companies that have confirmed their attendance at Travel Forward a new event focused on new technologies.
New exhibitors include airlines, companies that offer tours to film locations or television programs, adventure operators and sports centers, as well as destination marketing companies, innovative technology companies and car rental companies.
Among the new airlines include Air Transat, based in the United States; Go Airlines, based in India; the Asian airline Royal Brunei Airlines and the national airline of Iceland, Icelandair.
This year, the event includes an area dedicated to the exchange of ideas and dissemination of content, with a program of conferences and debates dedicated especially to the Americas. The Americas Inspiration Zone, located on the LA360 stand, will have approximately 11 meetings and more than 20 panelists who will contribute to the debate and opening dialogue for the development of the industry, ideas and projects. The proposal to include this space in the fair is to encourage cultural diversity and discuss the challenges and peculiarities of the region.
