Miguel Torruco Marqués, former leader of the independent hoteliers of the country and the former National Tourist Confederation, took possession of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) on Monday in a meeting with the now former head of the agency, Enrique de la Madrid Cordero.
Torruco Marqués assured that De la Madrid Cordero offered all the facilities to carry out the process of government transition and reiterated its commitment to "build a better Mexico for all and in particular for those who have less".
The secretary of Tourism also took protest to Humberto Hernandez Hadad like undersecretary of Development and Regulation of the Sectur, and to Simón Levy, like undersecretary of Planning and Tourist Policy.
Torruco Marqués appointed Carlos Márquez as head of the Office of the Sectur and Georgina Viveros as his private secretary.
