Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort, has once again obtained the Green Globe recognition in 2018 that qualifies the complex as one of the most sustainable resorts in the world, giving the hotel an outstanding rating of 91% out of 100, given its commitment to the environment ambient. Green Globe is the certificate of global excellence especially applied to the tourism sector. This recognition is proof of the rigorous compliance and commitment that the hotel complies with the environment. Green Globe helps organizations corroborate their environmental sustainability. The recognition standard includes 44 mandatory basic criteria supported by more than 380 indicators.
According to the information provided to Infotur Dominicano, among all the measures that Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort applies to its environmental commitment, it is worth mentioning the elimination of 4,000 plastic bottles daily from its restaurants and buffets, as well as the reduction of waste.
