The all-inclusive resort launches new suites, reinvents its restaurants, expands its spa and much more
Playa Hotels & Resorts N.V. the company that owns and operates all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, announces that it has completed the renovation of Sanctuary Cap Cana after an investment of $ 35 million dollars.
"Since its opening, Sanctuary Cap Cana has been an exclusive oasis for travelers from all over the world," said Kevin Froemming, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Playa Hotels & Resorts. "This property is synonymous with luxury, comfort and excellence in hospitality and the recent renovation will allow the resort to retain its legendary status, thanks to the improvements that were made to exceed the expectations of a five-star destination."
Located on the eastern tip of the island and only 15 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport, Sanctuary Cap Cana extends over 8 hectares of lush tropical beauty, including 650 meters of coastline. The transformation of the resort included the addition of two new towers and 140 suites, increasing the total inventory of rooms to 323. The expansion of the common areas, including the lobby, restaurants, bars and spa have been made respecting the architectural and unique details of the iconic property.
The arrival
The guest experience begins with the welcome in the colonial courtyard of the property, which leads to its peaceful lobby, completely renovated. The new centerpiece of the lobby is a spectacular handmade chandelier with selenite crystals, famous for their healing properties and the enhancement of positive energy. Located above a relaxing fountain, the "liquid light" of the selenite and the sound of the water immediately transform Sanctuary into a luxurious place of serenity and relaxation. The spectacular brightness of the chandelier and the changing colors of the water of the fountain merge with the soft lighting emanating from the surrounding stone columns and a glass dome, creating a magical and ethereal atmosphere.

In addition, the resort now has two new buildings facing the sea, with 70 new suites in two different categories: Luxury Junior Suite and Premium Luxury Junior Suite. For maximum privacy and comfort, all suites have soundproof walls, new hydrotherapy tubs with chromotherapy option, modern rain showers and other refined details.
Significant changes were also made in the Villas Collection. The reception of the Villas has been completely renewed with the addition of a VIP lounge, for a more personalized guest service. The Royalty Villas, the largest within the collection, have been optimized with private pools and outdoor furniture such as swings and sun loungers.
