The objective is to have a more profitable and efficient organization that unites and makes the most of existing personnel in Mexico in conjunction with the regional and global team
Best Western® Hotels & Resorts announced today that it assumes direct responsibility for the Best Western brand in Mexico, Central America and in neighboring countries (collectively "Mexico"). Best Western will carry out operations from this moment in direct relation with the owners ("PDR") of the Best Western brand hotels in Mexico, all of them of independent ownership and management. The transition to the direct responsibility of the brand in Mexico will result in a greater effort at the direct level of the brand when it comes to increasing synergy and efficiency in Mexico, South America and Central America.
"Best Western has experienced a period of tremendous evolution and innovation in recent years, and as a result, hotels in territories with direct relationship with owners (PDR) have benefited from direct service and support," said Suzi Yoder, Vice President Best Western International Operations Director. "We are firmly committed to ensuring that all of the Best Western brand hotels in Mexico experience a smooth transition without setbacks. The goal is to have a more profitable and efficient organization that unifies and takes full advantage of the existing staff in Mexico in conjunction with the regional and global team to generate income, services and first level support for the Best Western brand hotels. "
Currently there are a total of 70 hotels and resorts operating under the Best Western brand in Mexico, and the newly appointed Managing Director of Best Western Hotels & Resorts for Mexico and Central America, Elizabeth Becerra, has been responsible for ensuring a successful transition without complications for all these establishments. Ms. Becerra, with extensive experience in the hotel sector, joins the position of Managing Director with more than a decade of experience in this segment. Her extensive knowledge of the region, along with her impressive eight-year tenure as general manager of a Best Western Plus hotel in Colombia, place Ms. Becerra as the ideal person to lead this transition in Mexico.
"It's a truly exciting time to join the international team of Best Western Hotels & Resorts," said Elizabeth Becerra, Managing Director of Best Western Hotels & Resorts for Mexico and Central America. "I have been part of the Best Western family for almost a decade and I am immensely honored to take the reins of this period of integration of Mexican hotels into our global brand structure. Mexico has one of the most developed hotel markets in Latin America and I am confident that our hoteliers and our guests will not be able to benefit from the huge amount of resources available to them as a result of this transition. "
The Best Western brand hotels in Mexico will operate from now on the direct relationship between the owner (PDR) with the South American division of Best Western Hotels & Resorts, providing direct support to the more than 100 Best Western brand hotels in Mexico, South America and Central America.
