Mexican with 26 years of experience in the industry area; his appointment represents a change in Interjet to consolidate its growth
The Interjet Board of Directors appointed William Shaw as the new CEO of the airline.
The new General Director of Interjet began his career as a traffic agent at a counter in the Mexico City airport, highlighting his entrepreneurial phase by launching the first Low Cost Airline in Colombia and later also in Peru.
He has planned, selected, trained and successfully launched two ULCC's (Ultra Low Cost Airlines) in Latin America and worked on the founding of a third Low Cost Airline: Flycana, in the Dominican Republic, before moving on to the General Management of Interjet.
William Shaw has more than 26 years of experience in airlines, from being a check-in agent to CEO. He holds a Master's degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business with Certificates in Public Management and Global Management, and a bachelor's degree from CESA of Colombia.
José Luis Garza will occupy a place in the Board of Directors, which recognized the commitment and professionalism during the last 13 years.
Miguel Alemán Magnani, Executive President of Interjet, thanked the effort and results obtained by José Luis Garza during his performance and welcomed William Shaw as the new CEO of the airline, in an event for all members of the Interjet family .

For his part, José Luis Garza thanked the German family and the Board of Directors for all their support during the 13 years he was in charge of Interjet.
Interjet during 2018 transported 3 million 708 thousand 711 passengers internationally, reporting a growth of 33.9 percent with respect to 2017 figures. On a national level, it mobilized 10 million 144 thousand 676 passengers, that is, 5.7 percent more than the year previous.
The airline has signed different alliances with recognized companies in the international carving sector, such as Lufthansa, Eva Air, Iberia and Japan Airlines, in such a way that the clients of these airlines have access to domestic and international destinations offered by the airline.
