Copa Airlines adds Suriname to its extensive network of destinations

Copa Airlines, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA, {NYSE: CPA} and a member of the global airline network Star Alliance, today announced the start of operations in Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, starting next July 6 with two weekly flights . In this way, the South American country will become the 81st destination that the airline connects with the rest of the continent through its Hub of the Americas, located at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City.

Paramaribo is the capital of Suriname, located in the north of the country on the Atlantic Ocean and with a population of about 260 thousand inhabitants. The CM318 flight of Copa Airlines will operate initially with two weekly frequencies on Wednesdays and Saturdays, departing at 9:17 a.m. from Panama (local time) and arriving at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport at 3:45 p.m. (local time). The return flight, CM319, will start on the same day from Paramaribo at 5:52 p.m., arriving in Panama at 8:28 p.m. (local time). The route will be operated by a Boeing 737-700 with capacity for 12 passengers in Business Class and 112 in the main cabin.
