Visitors and locals can enjoy a season full of joy and outdoor parades
Aruba dresses in Carnival in its 65th edition, to share its culture and identity in one of the largest festivals in the Caribbean. The Arubians celebrate and celebrate with their relatives and visitors the most important event of the whole island, enjoying the parades and comparsas in the cities of San Nicolás and Oranjestad.
The festivities and parades began on January 5 with the Parade of Torches and will go until March 3 of this year with the traditional burning of King Momo. To the rhythm of Caribbean music, the comparsas that participate in the parades, wear colorful costumes made with sequins, feathers and beads, to delight locals and foreigners.
Some of the parades that attendees can enjoy in this 65th edition of the Aruba Carnival that promises to be memorable and imbued with surprises are: The Festival of Lights; the traditional children's parade, Jouvert Morning Pajama Party; the Great Carnival Parade in San Nicolás; the Great Carnival Parade in Oranjestad; the burning of the King Momo's doll, a life-size effigy, which marks the end of the Aruba Carnival season on Monday, March 3, just before Ash Wednesday.
