The airline will launch its inaugural flight to Mexico on August 21 with a triangle route from Istanbul to Mexico City and Cancun. In addition, it will add six new destinations
Turkish Airlines, which flies to more countries and international destinations than any other airline in the world, announced its new international destinations by 2019. Among them, it will fly for the first time to Mexico starting in August, from the new Istanbul Airport. The full route will use flight number TK181 and will be operated three times a week. Passengers will be the first to experience the airline's new B787-9 aircraft, which presents a new Business Class offer.
The route Mexico City - Istanbul will be operated from the new Turkish Airlines headquarters at Istanbul Airport, once all the phases are completed. The hub of the airline, which expects to receive about 200 million passengers per year, will play an important role in the future of the Turkish aviation sector, as global aviation moves east with Istanbul in the center. The intelligent and innovative design of the airport, already awarded for its design, will allow passengers flying with Turkish Airlines to enjoy the best global network.
