Hilton today announces the signing of four major hotels in Mexico, which also represent many new features for the company, including the arrival of three of Hilton's brands to three of Mexico's most active markets:
• first Canopy by Hilton in the country with Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla;
• first property of Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Monterrey with Hilton Monterrey Valle Oriente; Y
• the first two Curio Collection by Hilton properties in Mexico City with Threshold in the center of Mexico City and the Hotel Lafontaine in Polanco.
Spring of 2019: As part of an ambitious program to restore historic buildings in Mexico, Umbral, Curio Collection by Hilton will be located in the center of Mexico City. With 59 rooms, Umbral will offer a bar / restaurant on the highest level with a view of the most emblematic buildings of Mexico City (Metropolitan Cathedral, Old Town Hall and El Palacio de Hierro).
End of 2019: Canopy by Hilton Cancun The Island represents the first signature of the lifestyle brand in Mexico and the second in Latin America. The hotel will present local design, art, food, drink, social areas and swimming pool on the upper floor. Located in the largest shopping mall in Cancun, Isla Mall, the 175-room property is adjacent to the luxury section, Fashion Harbor.
End of 2019: Hotel Lafontaine, Curio Collection by Hilton will have 34 rooms, bar, restaurant and outdoor patio. Located in Polanco, a luxurious neighborhood in Mexico City, the boutique property will include world-class restaurants, chic boutiques and world-famous museums a few steps away.
End of 2021: located in the financial district of Monterrey, the Hilton Monterrey Valle Oriente hotel, with 202 rooms, will have one of the largest events rooms in the city. The hotel is part of a mixed-use project located at the base of Cerro de la Silla and will offer direct access by elevator to Galerias Valle Oriente and a few minutes from El Palacio de Hierro, the largest department store in Latin America.
Currently, Hilton has a portfolio of almost 150 hotels and resorts open to receive travelers in the Caribbean and Latin America, including more than 60 hotels in Mexico. On the 100th anniversary, the company continues to seek additional growth opportunities and currently has a strong portfolio of more than 80 hotels throughout the region, including nearly 30 planned projects in Mexico.
