American Airlines joins ALTA

The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association currently has 30 member airlines

 

The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) announced that American Airlines joins as an associate member.
 
Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Executive Director of ALTA, comments: "The arrival of American Airlines as our newest associate member represents an important milestone for ALTA due to the confidence provided by the largest airline and the most important connector in Latin America and the Caribbean with the United States. United States and the world through its flights to the most important cities in the region American Airlines is one of the big companies that contribute directly to the economic and social development of the region, promoting tourism, contributing to the creation of employment sources and offering more people the opportunity to fly in. We are very proud to have American Airlines in the outstanding group of member airlines of ALTA and we are convinced that your active participation in the committees, events and initiatives of ALTA will be key to strengthen our I work to achieve better conditions for air transport and its users in the region. "

American Airlines, together with its regional partner American Eagle, offer on average about 6,700 daily flights to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries around the world.
 
The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) currently has 30 member airlines: 19 full members or airlines from Latin America and the Caribbean with domestic and / or international services and 11 associate members or airlines that have no base in the region, but have interests or are offering services in the region. American Airlines, belongs in this last group.
