INPROTUR attended in Los Angeles the meeting that brings together the professionals of the luxury tourism industry worldwide
With the purpose of positioning Argentina in the high-end tourism segment, the National Tourism Promotion Institute (INPROTUR), together with the Tourism Authority of the City of Buenos Aires, once again attended the Virtuoso meeting Travel Week, which took place in the city of Los Angeles, United States, on March 21 and 22.
Virtuoso is the largest network of luxury tourism operators in the world, of American origin. Nuclear to specialists in elite travel from countries in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa, as well as prestigious travel suppliers of the world and top-level destinations.
As for Virtuoso Travel Week, it is an essential meeting of the high-end sector, where professionals from the sector gather, including agency owners, consultants and travel specialists, as well as some of the main tourist destinations in the world.
Argentina had more than 80 appointments with vendors from the most exclusive destinations. During the same they exposed the different experiences related to the country, emphasizing its wine and gastronomy, its natural and cultural landscapes, its history and, of course, its offer of high quality services.
It should be mentioned that, according to statistics for 2018, 39 percent of American travelers who visited Argentina stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels.
This participation allowed us to generate new contacts and networking networks with agents of the sector, in one of the main markets such as the United States.
The appointment in Los Angeles also served to continue the promotion of the flight of three weekly frequencies that connects this important American city with Buenos Aires, through American Airlines. Los Angeles is ranked third in the ranking of cities of origin of passengers coming from the United States by air to Argentina.
