Costa Rica Convention Bureau appoints Executive Director

The new head is Rodrigo Troyo Ulloa, a manager who brings a successful experience in the travel industry. It will launch a new action plan to strengthen services focused on the MICE segment

 

The Board of Directors of the Costa Rica Convention Bureau announced the appointment of Rodrigo Troyo Ulloa as the new Executive Director of the Office. Troyo brings a successful experience in the travel industry and a new exciting action plan to strengthen the services of the Office focused on the MICE segment. Both the members of the Costa Rica Convention Bureau and the Costa Rica Tourism Board are satisfied with this new addition to the Office.

Costa Rica Convention Bureau was founded in July 1998 by a group of entrepreneurs who represent the country's tourism industry and whose vision was to develop the MICE market to increase the number of visitors to our country. New alternatives, such as the establishment of international 5-star hotel chains and elegant boutique hotels, have spearheaded the initiative to attract this segment of the market.
It is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Costa Rica as a highly attractive incentive and destination for meetings. Our DMC members, hotels and specialized providers are prepared to develop proposals and offer their ideas, ideas and expert advice related to events in Costa Rica.
The Bureau has worked closely with the Costa Rican Tourism Board to create and implement advertising and promotion strategies using educational seminars and international trade fairs. We have produced several promotional media, such as: The official Guide of incentives and meetings of Costa Rica, maps, brochures and photos of special interest, among others. In addition, and to guarantee a high quality product for our meetings and incentive buyers, we have developed superior educational programs for the travel industry in Costa Rica.
