Aerolíneas Argentinas offers 900,000 seats for its snow destinations

The company arranged a special reinforcement for July and August on flights to Mendoza, Neuquén, Bariloche, Chapelco, El Calafate and Ushuaia. This means an increase of 8% in the offer with respect to the same period of 2018

Aerolineas Argentinas launched its winter flight schedule. With the focus on snow destinations, the company arranged a special reinforcement for July and August with 900,000 seats available for Mendoza, Neuquén, Bariloche, Chapelco, El Calafate and Ushuaia. This means an increase of 8% in the offer with respect to the same period of 2018.

The route between Ushuaia and Buenos Aires will have during the months of July and August with 29% more flights than in 2018. There will be 41 weekly frequencies. It is a total of 108,340 seats, that is 25% more than the previous year.

In the case of the connection between Ushuaia and Córdoba, there will be a daily flight, unlike 2018 when there were 4 weekly frequencies, which means an increase of 71%. In the same way, the connection with Bahía Blanca will have an extra flight, becoming 4 weekly frequencies when in 2018 they were 3. Meanwhile, the connectivity with El Calafate will maintain its 3 weekly services, matching the offer of the previous year, although with a increase in the offer of seats of 67% when operating with larger aircraft.

In total, Ushuaia will account for 136,000 seats during July and August, taking all the destinations.

The trunk route between El Calafate and Buenos Aires will have 22 weekly frequencies in July (10% more than last year), which will be 28 in August (28% more than 2018). This is in addition to the 3 weekly frequencies that will link the town of Santa Cruz with Ushuaia. In total there will be 78,000 seats available in the bimester.

In the case of San Carlos de Bariloche, on the route with Buenos Aires, an extra flight was added with respect to 2018, with 63 weekly frequencies. This represents 190,740 seats offered in the bimester. In addition, the offer of a daily flight between Bariloche and Rosario is maintained with a total of 11,904 seats. In the case of Bariloche-Córdoba, for this year, there will be a daily flight, with an increase of 8% in the number of seats operate with larger capacity aircraft. In total, Aerolíneas will provide 217,000 seats for Bariloche in the two-month period.

San Martin de los Andes is another of the strong destinations of Aerolineas Argentinas for its snow season. In the route that unites it with Buenos Aires will be 16 weekly frequencies in July and 19 in August. This represents a 10% increase in the number of frequencies during August when the destination reaches its operational peak. Similarly, the number of seats offered during July and August will be 53,720, which implies an increase of 11% over the same period of 2018. Neuquén has other typically winter destinations such as Caviahue, which are accessed from the provincial capital. The city of Neuquén will have 41 weekly flights to Buenos Aires and daily frequencies to Córdoba, Mendoza and Comodoro Rivadavia. Thus, the capital city will account for 168,000 seats in the two-month period.

The city of Mendoza is another destination that extends its programming during the winter months: On the route with Buenos Aires it will have 69 weekly frequencies in July and 72 during August. In number of seats, will be 170,000, with an increase of 32% over last year. And it will maintain the offer of 2018 for its flights to Córdoba (2 daily frequencies) in addition to the daily flights to and from Neuquén and Comodoro Rivadavia. On the other hand, the province will have a special reinforcement for the route San Rafael - Buenos Aires, adding two weekly flights compared to the 8 that operated in 2018. There are 16,000 additional seats. This means a 28% increase in the two-month period.

In the case of Esquel, Aerolineas Argentinas will operate 8 weekly frequencies this year in the winter season, that is, 30% more than the previous year. There will be 13,000 seats between July and August, which means a 30% increase compared to 2018.
