Dominican Republic continues to record records in the arrival of tourists

So far this year, the Caribbean country has received 2033422 visitors, a figure that shows a growth of 4.5% over the same period of 2018

 

The Dominican Republic continues to record records in the arrival of tourists and this is demonstrated by the figures that the country reports in March 2019, with 672,969 tourists and as in the first two months, the country received an additional with respect to the same month of 2018, in this case, with 5,424 additional tourists according to information collected by Infotur Dominicano from the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) and the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur).

In this way, the Dominican Republic received a total of 1,876,144 travelers in the first three months, that is, 81,823 additional tourists compared to 1,794,321 travelers who arrived between January and March of 2018.

In general terms, in this first three months of 2019, the country received 2,033,422 visitors - 157,278 residents and 1,876,144 non-residents - for an interannual variation of 4.5%, which represented 86,897 additional visitors in relation to the first quarter of 2018.

This is the first time that the Dominican Republic has spent two million visitors between residents and non-residents, so it is on track to exceed the number of tourists registered in 2018.
