American Airlines launches its new direct route Córdoba-Miami

The airline continues its development in South America with this second destination in Argentina

American Airlines celebrated with the Minister of Transportation of the Nation, Guillermo Dietrich, the announcement of the new direct route between Córdoba and Miami and the solid and continuous commitment of the company with Argentina.

In this sense, Christine Valls, Vice President of Sales for Latin America and the Caribbean of American Airlines, said: "Argentina has always been a key market for American since we began operations more than 28 years ago, with a daily flight from Miami to Buenos Aires. Aires Our commitment to the country remains strong, with more than 500 jobs in direct forms and with a new route between Córdoba and Miami, with which we will reach 35 weekly flights in the country. "

"To think that in 2015 American Airlines wanted to leave the country; today it is adding this unprecedented route that is part of a very big bet for the transport of passengers with new connections, with more employment and fundamentally for the transport of cargo. Last year, American Airlines doubled the production that left Argentina to the United States with respect to 2015. This route is a new gateway to the world, and it is part of that revolution of the aircraft that Mauricio Macri promoted so that more people fly, so that more people work in the sector and so that there is more federalism, "said Guillermo Dietrich.

On the other hand, the new route will open a great opportunity for the development of exports from the Interior, such as the blueberries from Tucumán, which can now be sent directly from Córdoba, reducing the logistics cost for the producer, who had to trade his shipments from Buenos Aires. Aires Likewise, direct access to Córdoba also opens the possibility of positioning the city as a tourist destination, as well as offering innumerable connections from Miami to the clients of the province.

Also, the Secretary of Tourism of the Nation, Gustavo Santos, sent his message of thanks and commitment to the company.

The first direct flight between Cordoba and Miami will be next June 7 and will operate four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) with a Boeing 767-300. This aircraft offers an Executive Class with 28 fully reclining seats and 181 Economy Class seats.
