KLM: the Dreamliner era began on the Buenos Aires - Amsterdam route

As of May 6, the airline connects Argentina with the Netherlands and Chile with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, the most modern in its fleet

KLM is proud to welcome the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the most modern aircraft in its fleet, to the Buenos Aires - Amsterdam route, with an extension to Santiago de Chile.
In a first stage, between May 6 and June 5, the modern airplane will fly 3 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Later and until October 27, Argentines will have the opportunity to enjoy it 6 days a week, from Monday to Saturday.

The innovative experience of the Boeing 787-9
The Boeing 787, better known as Dreamliner, is the most environmentally friendly commercial airplane, since it consumes approximately 20% less fuel; generates 20% less CO2 and manufacturing waste, and emits 20% less noise compared to the previous generation aircraft. Since its flight autonomy is 15,700 km, it allows it to fly the longest routes of KLM, such as Amsterdam - Buenos Aires. Its maximum speed is 907 km / h.
The 787-9 can be described as "technical marvel", since it is the result of the joint work of hundreds of engineers from around the world. It is a light aircraft that can be easily recycled, because its fuselage consists of 50% composite materials, 20% aluminum, 15% titanium, 10% steel and 5% other materials, generating less waste and less chemicals than other comparable aircraft.
In the case of the KLM Dreamliner, it has the capacity to carry 294 passengers: 30 in the World Business Class, with seats arranged in 1-2-1 configuration, and 264 in the Economy cabin, 48 of which are in the Economy area Comfort, arranged in 3-3-3 configuration.
Among the many advantages that the KLM Dreamliner offers its passengers, is the pressurization of the cabin: even when it is flying at a cruising height (13,100 meters), internally the feeling is of being at 1,800 meters. In addition, the aircraft has a better regulation of air humidity, which increases on-board comfort and attenuates the physical effects of altitude. Thanks to its windows 30% larger than those of similar aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 offers a panoramic view of the earth from the sky and its interior lighting system adapts smoothly to the different phases of the flight generating greater comfort and well-being. The Dreamliner also has Wi-Fi connection in all its cabins, adapted to the needs of each client.
Within its fleet of 168 aircraft of different wings, KLM has acquired Boeing 21 Dreamliners. Currently it has 13 in operation.
