Dominican Republic has received until April 2019 some 511 thousand cruise passengers on 201 vessels

With a total of 326,825 visitors, Puerto Plata leads in the reception of cruise ships in the Dominican Republic until April 2019. Of this total, 244,646 are cruise passengers (passengers) and 82,179 are crew personnel, who have docked in this port through 78 cruises.

In April, the country received a total of 92,414 visitors on 31 cruise ships. Of this total of visitors, 69,363 were passengers (cruise passengers) and 23,051 were crew personnel.

In total, the country has received in these four to 636,578 visitors in 201 cruise ships. Of this total of visitors, 511,654 were passengers (cruise passengers) and 171,026 were crewmembers.

Meanwhile, the port of La Romana has received a total of 63 cruise ships transporting 234,608 visitors, of which 175,917 were passengers and 58,691 were crew personnel.

In the same order, Samaná is located, the destination where the cruise season ended and where the vessels operate under the modality of anchoring, they maintain the figures that we provided last April exclusively, registering up to then, a total of 18 cruises with 38,021 visitors, of which 27,566 were passengers and 10,455 crew.

In the case of Cap Cana, it has received a total of seven vessels with 24,468 visitors (17,336 passengers and 7,132 crew members) in the course of 2019.

The arrival of ships to SanSouci port in the city of Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic, the Department of cruise ships of the Ministry of Tourism counts 17 ships with 28,841 visitors, of which 22,897 were passengers and 14,736 were the personnel of crew.

The arrival of passengers through the ferry, a percentage of foreign visitors is recorded, and for these four months, 32 touches of this boat are recorded, transporting 6,866 visitors, of these 5,947 passengers and 2,466 crew personnel.
