During the awards ceremony that distinguished "The Best Companies to Work for", held on May 8, research and consulting firm Great Place to Work in Mexico recognized for the ninth consecutive year Grupo Vidanta -developer leader of resorts and tourist infrastructures and entertainment in Mexico and Latin America - in the top ten of the list of the best companies to work in our country this 2019, in the category "Big Enterprise".
The Great Place to Work certification is considered the most important and exhaustive worldwide because it is the result of a rigorous process of analysis and evaluation of employees' opinions and corporate culture, so that the last nine years in which Grupo Vidanta has been recognized, have allowed it to become an exemplary employer and position itself as a benchmark in the tourism industry.
A key part of Grupo Vidanta's recognition for the ninth consecutive year as one of the best companies to work in Mexico is programs and incentives that inspire its employees to grow and develop within the company, which is undoubtedly a high percentage of retention. A great example of this is the "Well Done" program, which aims to promote the exceptional behavior of employees, promoting recognition among co-workers; or internal career plans to give new competencies to those seeking a better job within the company.
Currently 30% of the maintenance team, 25% of the food and beverage collaborators and more than 20% of the staff of housekeepers have activated life and career plans. If they were to meet their objectives, they would all be able to obtain managerial and managerial positions in periods of one, three and five years.
"We are very proud because more than 60% of the supervisory and management positions are covered with internal personnel, as a result of the development and training plans and programs throughout the Group," said Manuel Becerra, director of organizational planning and development for Grupo Vidanta.
Another reason why Grupo Vidanta has been widely recognized as one of the best companies to work in our country is: foster inclusion; today its more than 17,000 employees, 60% are men and 40% women, 35% of the total number, staff over 40 years old.

During the ceremony, Grupo Vidanta also received special recognition in the dimension of "Pride", one of the five evaluated by Great Place to Work and which reflects the deep feeling of belonging of its collaborators, praising the team achievements, as well as their contributions to the community. This distinction is extremely important because it represents the voice of the collaborator and evaluates his pride in three lines: work, team and company.
