Reggae Sumfest arrives in Jamaica for its 27th edition

This summer marks the 27th anniversary of Reggae Sumfest, the iconic music festival of Jamaica, which will be held in Montego Bay from July 14 to 20, 2019. Organized by Downsound Entertainment and sponsored by the Jamaica Tourism Office, the Prominent music festival comes immediately after the designation of reggae as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Reggae Sumfest brings reggae legends together with local and international artists from other popular musical genres that also originated on the island and have greatly influenced today's urban and popular charts. The star cast of the Festival's Nights 1 and 2 concerts will include global reggae sensation Buju Banton, dancehall veterans Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, as well as Chronixx, Spice, Spragga Benz, Elephant Man, Protégé, Beres Hammond and more.
