ANATO organizes the 24 National Congress of Travel and Tourism Agencies

The event will be held between August 1 and 2 at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín

 

With more than 600 attendees, the most important academic event in the sector in Colombia will open its doors at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín, and once again it will give tourism the opportunity to learn from the industry leaders and speakers of international stature.
 
“In this 24 National Congress of Travel Agencies, we wanted to bring together different and important personalities of official organizations and businessmen of the industry, to give the participants effective tools that allow them to strengthen their capacities and competences around innovation, thematic around which will turn this version of the event, ”said Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of ANATO.
 
The installation act, on August 1, will be in charge of Carmen Vásquez, Minister of Culture; Federico Gutiérrez, mayor of Medellín; David Palomares, president of the Antioquia-Chocó Chapter of ANATO; and Paula Cortés Calle.
 
Subsequently, Julián Guerrero, Vice Minister of Tourism, who has extensive experience in the sector, will give a conference on the consolidation of this industry in Colombia, the strategies that from the Government will be drawn up to mitigate informality, continue strengthening the national tourism offer , and increase the flow of travelers abroad.
 
Likewise, Carmen Ligia Valderrama, superintendent of Ports and Transportation, will offer a space in which the initiatives of the National User Protection Authority of the Transportation Sector will be known.
 
The day will end with the intervention of Alejandro Franco, executive director of Ruta N under the name 'Innovation as the main engine of economic development'.
 
On Friday, August 2, Félix Antelo, CEO of Viva Air, will make an intervention to inform the sector about the initiatives that the Colombian airline has been carrying out with its national and international operations, the development of its business model and the projects that have in the medium term.
 
Likewise, Gustavo Alvarado, Country Marketing Manager of Google Colombia will be present, who has experience in the creation of new areas in market research, finance and innovation. During the 24th National Congress of Travel and Tourism Agencies - ANATO, he will offer his conference: Tourism in the era of assistance.
