The Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT), is working with firerentes Latino artists to show different destinations in music videos that play on TV channels, social media and streeming platforms
The Guatemalan Tourism Institute (INGUAT) has recently worked alongside the production of Colombian singer Manuel Turizo to record the video of the song "Nada Ha Cambiado" in La Antigua. In just days YouTube's trend has been transformed reaching more than 9 million views. This type of action allows reaching a massive and international audience.
Previously, INGUAT managed that the Colombian group “Piso 21” recorded their latest music video in some of the main tourist attractions of the country through the production company 36 Grados. The tour of urban pop music singers included locations such as the Tikal National Park, Lake Petén Itzá, the Pacaya Volcano in Escuintla and the Miguel Ángel Asturias National Theater in Guatemala City.
In 2017 INGUAT made a familiarization trip for the production company 36 Grados, when four members of the production team of said creative house, had the opportunity to visit possible scenarios for upcoming films and take Guatemala into account for these actions.
The Assistant Director General of INGUAT, Juan Pablo Nieto said “The imposing historical legacy of Guatemala and its quality as a Megadiversa nation offers the world an impressive variety of destinations and tourist activities, with unique natural and cultural settings, we are pleased with the production company and Colombian artists, for having put their recording interest in Guatemala, Heart of the Mayan World. ”
On the other hand, Lourdes Maldonado, Marketing Director of INGUAT explained that the institution is working on the potentialization of the different tourist segments of the country in line with the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan, in order to attract more tourists so that they know the beauty of the country and thereby contribute to the spill in the national economy.
The INGUAT authorities thanked the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the administration of the Tikal National Park, as well as the Pacaya Volcano National Park and all the Guatemalan talent involved in the production of the music video.
