With 20 properties in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts continues to bet unconditionally on these destinations and, within its Business and Investment Plan for the coming months, will carry out a reinvestment policy for the renewal of its services and facilities with the firm objective that customers enjoy a true and unforgettable vacation experience.
In this sense, the Reconceptualization and Improvement Project of the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, located in Riviera Maya, Mexico, will entail an update of its image and reconceptualization of common areas, which will be fully operational as of December 15.
Seeking to highlight the culture of destiny, in the concept of this project, Bahia Principe is based on elements, textures and all kinds of ingredients and details that evoke the Mayan culture. In this way, corn was thought of as the main element for the redecoration of this property. Being an essential component for the Mayan civilization, the golden textures and details reflect this aspect and seek to exalt this tradition.
Within this project that are working in Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, the following stand out:
New Sports Bar: conversion of the current Pakal Bar, combining the American atmosphere with the symbology of the best-known Mayan sport, the ball game.
Dolce Vita and Frutos del Mar restaurants: incorporation of color, culture and Mexican style. The decoration of the Dolce Vita fuses Italian and Mexican elements, such as the typical festival masks and the essential red colors in both gastronomies. In the Frutos del Mar restaurant, on the other hand, they sought inspiration in the Caribbean and the blue tones and the characteristic freshness of this region predominate.
Theater: the great columns that remember Mexican crafts are the protagonists of this place, together with the incorporation of high-tech and quality audiovisual equipment.
KidsClub: a color space, inspired by the colorful culture of Mexico, and with renewed equipment for the fun of the little ones. Set with a simulation of the regional mountains and "Las Pozas", the Eden of the jungle in Mexico.
In this way, and firm in its purpose to meet every customer need, Lluisa Salord, Corporate Commercial Director, declared: “We continue working to consolidate and expand our offer to adapt our hotels to the interests and needs of each guest, offering an innovative and differential proposal in terms of gastronomy, cocktails, entertainment and sports. In this reform we take another step in wanting to integrate the wide and varied Mayan culture into the spaces of our hotels in Mexico”.
