Riu Emerald Bay presents new services for family vacations

After the expansion works, the hotel has added a new water park, playground, swimming pools, theater, restaurant and rooms

The Riu Emerald Bay, the emblematic hotel that the RIU chain opened in 2009 in Mazatlan, Mexico, has just presented its extension after several months of work. Hotel guests can now enjoy a completely new area where 312 new rooms are located, as well as a wide range of leisure activities for adults and children: water park, playground, two new pools, a pool bar, a restaurant and A new lounge bar with theater.

Since its opening, the hotel became the favorite of families to spend their vacations in the pearl of the Pacific thanks to its excellent location on the seafront and its full 24-hour All Inclusive service. To offer better service and comfort to guests traveling with the smallest of the house, the new rooms are very spacious and many of them are connected or are family suites. Contemporary style and soft colors, as well as new features such as the large walk-in showers of the new bathrooms, add elegance and comfort to the guests' experience.

One of the most successful attractions among the first clients of the hotel is the Splash Water World water park. After its implementation in the Mexican destinations of Costa Mujeres and Los Cabos, as well as in the Dominican Republic, RIU has opted for this fun and spectacular park in Mazatlan. A children's pool with sliding slides has also been built that delights the little ones, who also have the best entertainment for girls and boys in the new RiuLand and its indoor park with slides, mazes and ball pool.

In addition to this new water park, customers can find a new lounge bar with a stage, where they can enjoy the extensive nightly entertainment program offered by the Riu Emerald Bay hotel. To this we must add two new swimming pools, one of them with swim-up bar, and an area for the sports activities of the RiuFit team. To complete this extension, and as a new gastronomic option, the chain has introduced a new restaurant, ‘El Malecón’, which offers a complete buffet with the best international dishes and live cooking, as well as three themed nights a week.

With this investment, RIU continues to show its commitment to Mexico, a country in which it has almost 12,000 rooms, more than anywhere else in the world. In the coming months, the international chain will carry out the complete reforms of the Riu Vallarta, in Riviera Nayarit, and of the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, in Playa del Carmen.
